About Poikilo
Poikilo is within walking distance from Kouvola City Centre and
the Railway Station. Poikilo located in Kouvolatalo is the home
of two museums, the Art Museum and City Museum.
It features a combined exhibition space of 2200 m2. Poikilo is also the home
of Kino Poikilo, Kouta Gallery and Poikilo Gallery which has free entry.
Kouvolatalo was designed by architect Erkki Valovirta and
it is considered one of the most beautiful postmodern buildings
in Finland. The museums are wheelchair accessible.
Throughout the year the Poikilo Museums host events, lectures
and workshops. Detailed information about the events can
